Finance Manager

Your practice finances fully under control. Surplus and liquidity in real time.

Automatically from your bank accounts and your billing, with no export and no spreadsheet. You see how the quarter stands while it is still running.

Liquidity overview

Every entry in its place

Every income category with its amount, its share and the number of entries behind it – plus the bar that shows the proportions immediately.

The same view for your practice's cost side. Whatever ends up under “other” here is, in practice, the first candidate for a second look.

The total and below it each account separately, across banks in one view. No manual collating, no logging in at three banks.

Money in, money out and the balance for the selected period, each against the period before. Your practice's liquidity at a glance, without sorting bank statements.

Analysis

From gut feeling to a basis in data

Eight bars across four quarters, with last year's mark alongside. The seasonal patterns of a medical practice repeat – here you can see them.

The balance as a continuous line across twelve months. The spikes are the fee payments; the troughs between them are what liquidity planning in a practice is actually about.

Your margin against the figure for comparable practices – same specialty, same size bracket, anonymized.

The staff cost ratio, meaning staff costs as a share of revenue, in the same comparison. The metric where two similar practices differ most.

Interest and repayment relative to revenue. After a practice takeover, the figure worth keeping an eye on.

How the shares of the billing types shift across the year – small, alongside, so the comparison does not stand without context.

Revenue, costs, result and margin, each against the same quarter last year. The frame everything else fits into.

Reporting and entries

Your financial report, without waiting for the accountant

Your practice's financial report builds itself continuously from the account data, broken down by category and quarter: income, expenditure, operating result, surplus. Current at any time rather than weeks later, and in the same structure your tax advisor knows.

The same table with a plan column per quarter: you enter planned figures, the variance appears beside them. A drift shows up during the year rather than in the annual review.

The list behind every report: account movements with date, amount, counterparty and category. If an assignment is wrong you change it here – and every report above it recalculates with the new value.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does the MediPulse Finance Manager cost?

The Finance Manager costs €99 per month with quarterly billing, €89 with annual billing and €109 with monthly billing, plus VAT, regardless of practice size. No installation fee, cancellable monthly, free to try for 14 days. All plans: medipulse.de/en/pricing.

Which software shows a practice's liquidity status in real time?

The MediPulse Finance Manager connects your bank accounts and shows balances, inflows and outflows and the development of your liquidity in one dashboard, current to the day – with nothing to collate from bank statements by hand.

Why is looking at the bank balance not enough?

The balance alone is misleading: outstanding statutory payments (KV), tax reserves and fluctuating expenditure distort the picture, so bottlenecks show up too late. Instead of “managing by bank balance”, the Finance Manager plans your liquidity ahead.

What belongs in a liquidity plan for a practice?

A liquidity plan covers all income (statutory payments from the KV, private billing, individual health services known as IGeL) and all expenditure (staff, rent, materials, tax, owner's drawings) across a planning period. The Finance Manager brings these together automatically from your bank and your practice management system (PVS) and projects them forward.

Does MediPulse connect to all of my practice's bank accounts?

Yes. MediPulse connects your business accounts across every bank via secure PSD2 interfaces and brings all cash flows together centrally.

How secure is the bank connection?

The connection uses the regulated PSD2 standard with read-only access and encrypted transmission. MediPulse cannot initiate transfers and does not pass your data to third parties.

Can I create target figures and forecasts with the Finance Manager?

Yes. You enter target figures and receive forecasts for how liquidity and revenue will develop, so you can steer ahead rather than in hindsight.

Which practices am I benchmarked against?

Against practices of comparable specialty, size and structure – a solo practice is not measured against a medical care center. You can see which peer group is being used directly in the analysis.

Does the Finance Manager replace my interim financial statement or my tax advisor?

No. The Finance Manager complements both: it makes the figures visible and manageable in real time, so you no longer have to ask for interim updates. Year-end accounts, tax returns and tax advice remain the job of your tax advisor.
